Data Integrity Standard
The euGreenalytics platform operates on a "Source-First" principle. We rely on raw data from pan-European transmission operators and global energy agencies to ensure our visualizations are free from commercial or political bias.
ENTSO-E Transparency Platform
Primary pan-European repository for electricity market data, representing 39 Transmission System Operators (TSOs) from 35 countries. Provides hourly generation mix, cross-border physical flows, demand forecasting, Day-Ahead market prices (A44 data stream), and imbalance settlement prices (A85 data stream).
Application: Day-Ahead prices (Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands — primary source), negative price hour tracking, hourly generation mix, cross-border flows, and imbalance settlement prices for France, the Netherlands, and Portugal via the A85 data stream. Portugal's data is published to ENTSO-E by REN (Redes Energéticas Nacionais), the Portuguese TSO, using EIC code 10YPT-REN------W.
Elia Open Data (Belgium)
Open data portal of Elia, the Belgian Transmission System Operator, providing granular real-time and historical grid data including generation, load, cross-border flows, and quarter-hourly imbalance settlement prices.
Application: Belgian imbalance settlement prices (SI+ and SI−) retrieved via Elia's public REST API at quarter-hourly resolution since January 2020.
Netztransparenz (Germany)
Joint transparency platform of the four German Transmission System Operators (50Hertz, Amprion, TenneT DE, TransnetBW), publishing the reBAP (regelzonenübergreifender einheitlicher Bilanzausgleichsenergiepreis) — the uniform cross-TSO imbalance price for Germany.
Application: German reBAP imbalance price at quarter-hourly resolution, retrieved via the Netztransparenz REST API with OAuth2 client-credentials authentication. Germany operates a symmetric reBAP (SI+ equals SI−) by market design.
REE ESIOS (Red Eléctrica de España)
Official API of Red Eléctrica de España (REE), the Spanish transmission system operator, publishing real-time and historical electricity market data including imbalance settlement prices for the Spanish balancing market.
Application: Spanish imbalance settlement prices (SI+ and SI−) retrieved directly from the ESIOS API (indicators 686 — PrecioDesviosSubir and 687 — PrecioDesviosBajar) at hourly resolution. ESIOS is used as the authoritative source for Spain, replacing ENTSO-E A85 which showed a systematic ~75 €/MWh divergence from official REE settlement values.
OMIE (Operador del Mercado Ibérico de Energía)
Official market operator for the Iberian electricity market (Spain and Portugal), publishing daily auction results for the Day-Ahead and intraday markets. OMIE is the authoritative primary source for Iberian price discovery; the prices it publishes are the settlement prices used by market participants.
Application: Day-Ahead prices for Spain and Portugal (primary source, supersedes ENTSO-E where both are available). Data is retrieved from OMIE's public daily result files.
IRENA (International Renewable Energy Agency)
The leading intergovernmental agency for the global energy transformation, serving as the principal platform for international cooperation and global statistics.
Application: Sourcing long-term capacity statistics, Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) trends, and global policy benchmarks.
